This was hands down THE BEST LUAU experience. The Royal experience came with pretty good seats, head band, lei necklace, 4 drinks, and included is the unlimited buffet. The Chief is very entertaining, hilarious even and engaging. The music, dancing and overall vibe is family friendly and fun for all.
Terrible customer service, we had to cancel three hours before because someone in our party was seasick. No understanding and very rude, was told “it was best if I just got him there.” Asked to speak to a manager and said they would have them call me back, never got a call back. Trust me I would have love to get him their too but there was no empathy and 400$ down the drain. It definitely left a terrible taste in my mouth and will make sure not to recommend this luau to anyone
It was a great performance that we thoroughly enjoyed. And the Chief was very funny and nice enough to take pictures with the audience at the end of the show. They require people To be vaccinated to attend so that was comforting but they still ended up cramming different parties in the same table so it still wasn’t entirely safe and very little social distancing We still had to go to the buffet but they had all the plates premade with a bit of everything, and people just had to grab a plate along with condiments and utensils and take it back to the table. The food was not good in our opinion. It was good to see this show in the end.
The entertainment was wonderful and the chief was truly funny in so many areas. The presentation of the varying island cultures was a ton of information good to know, learn and respect. In addition, the dynamics of the dances and their meanings added value to my own life as I embrace the cultures of the people of the islands and the world.
We did the paradise admission. There may be a significant difference between the Paradise and Royal, but I was happy with ours. We still saw the stage well. We all got hand made palm head bands. The Royal people got real plumeria leis, but we got hand made kukui nut necklaces/leis, which was superior, IMO. They will last for a long time. We got two complimentary drinks, which was either small Mai Tais, tap beer, or wine. There was also a cash bar with stronger mai tais and a few other mixed drinks like a strawberry piña colada. I got a mai tai in a pineapple, which had a good bit and was decently mixed. There were also a few vendors with hand-made items such as shell necklaces, carved bone necklaces, plumeria clips, and such. One of the drum performers actually makes amazing carved tikis or bowls. I bought a large carved turtle bowl and am very excited about it. The food was plentiful and it was ok. My husband liked the chicken and the fish is what I liked. It was prepared in a way different than I had ever had. The Hawaiian bread is purple; I am now officially disappointed in any “Hawaiian” bread I’ve had on the continent. The Chief as MC was great. The performance was amazing. They had dancing and performances to represent many Pacific island cultures. And THEN, the fire dancing was crazy awesome. Chief Sielu was one of the performers and he has been featured on talk shows, discovery channel, and many others. He has won many awards, as have several of the other fire performers. Suggestion, if you are sitting close to the stage, they give away the cool palm baskets that they weave on stage, so be ready to volunteer to receive one. Over all, it was great. Would recommend to everyone.
From start to finish this was a great experience. Don’t let the venue fool you, once inside the setting is great. Stage is in front of a beautiful waterfall . The “ chief “ is a great MC. Very entertaining and humerous . The show was fantastic, costumes were gorgeous and dancers very talented. The fire dancers consisted of world champion fire dancers . Consider paying for the premium package it’s well worth it
