Karen Q is passionate about history and her stories of both the personal and political lives of Hamilton and Burr were fascinating. She shared quite a few writings published during their lives, including a funny and (for the time) slightly bawdy poem about Burr’s romancing of his future wife, as well as paintings of significant people and places. Karen helps you to imagine the city as it was at the birth of our nation. I highly recommend this tour.

I have studied the colonial era for decades, but always enjoy interacting with scholars of every kind with their ideas, learning, and passion for the period. Mrs Q (Karen) gave me perspectives, details, and background that enhanced what I knew and enabled my research to advance. Walking in the paths of our Founders (emotionally and physically) is transformative. In addition, her enthusiasm for the period, and her interest in the thoughts of her walking companions, is inspiring. I heartily and happily endorse the experience of Patriot Tours NYC. Karen is a font of knowledge when it comes to American history. We were an Australian family whom knew very little but were really excited with all the new history we learnt. Karen was very easy to talk with and answered all questions with great depth. Thoroughly recommend taking this tour with Karen and enjoy a walk with intellect. A+++++

My daughter and I felt extremely fortunate to stumble upon this walking tour with Karen Q when looking for things to do in NYC this weekend. Our tour was small and our tour guide/owner/historian Karen was absolutely fantastic! She is so deeply knowledgeable about this subject and describes early NYC so vividly that you can picture the way it was back then. Walking the historic streets of New York was fun, too. You won’t be sorry to book this tour with Karen Q. I am planning to do another one the next time I go back to visit my daughter. Highly recommended!

if you're even just the slightest bit interested in early american history this tour is great. Its a walking tour of downtown NYC and its amazing how many little things still remain in the city from that time that go unnoticed. The tour guide Karen is very informative and easy to bounce questions off of. You can tell she's very passionate about this subject and i enjoyed all she had to talk about. I will definitely do another one the next time i have a free day in the city.

We were looking forward to this tour due to our keen interest in the life of Alexander Hamilton. However, we were disappointed that our tour guide seemed to gloss over details about Hamilton's life in this long-winded tour. She placed a heavy emphasis on Burr over Hamilton and was very keen to promote her forthcoming book about Theodosia Burr, which seemed out of place on this tour. She also neglected to mention an exhibition by the New York Historical Society about Hamilton that was on display in Federal Hall while we were in the establishment. Fortunately, we noticed this and came back a few days later and were very impressed with what we learnt.

If you thought you knew Hamilton is on the musical listen to it really opens your eyes to more interesting historical facts. In addition to give me a better understanding of the history of New York City. Very enjoyable tour.
